Veterinary Mixed Practice

 

 

Kamo Vets is an expanding Best Practice Accredited practice operating from a single purpose built new clinic on the northern suburb of Whangarei.

 

We have a team of eight vets (full-time to part-time) and four nurses.  Our caseload ranges from Companion Animal to Farm work (mainly Dairy, no Equine) with approximately a 50:50 mix.

We supply a 4 x 4 vehicle, encourage and fund CPD, NZVA and VCNZ practicing certificate etc.

 

A referral surgeon from Auckland operates from our Kamo clinic for more advanced complex surgeries on a regular basis.

 

The new clinic premises opened 18 months ago and is well equipped and pleasant to work in.

 

The veterinary position advertised is for a mixed vet with an interest in companion and farm work.

 

The position would suit someone willing to work full-time (with an afternoon free each week) or 4 days a week.

Our existing vet team has a wide range of abilities and experience with mutual support being important for the more challenging cases 

Afterhours is equally shared in a 1 in 6 roster and after a weekend on-call you will have a 3 day weekend.  

 

The majority of our farms are family owned which enables more direct contact with the farmer.

Most of our clients are long standing.

Whangarei is an ideal place to live, a growing city but not too large and less than 2 hours to Auckland’s facilities. Best of all we have a coastline lined with fabulous beaches and bays.

Full Time Vet Nurse

We are very excited to be moving into a brand-new, purpose-built clinic next month and we welcome an experienced Vet Nurse to join us in a permanent , fulltime position.

 

Vetcare Kaikoura is a privately owned clinic in the seaside town of Kaikoura. We are a mixed practice with a growing caseload and a small tight- knit team with 4 Vets. You will become part of the Vetcare Kaikoura family; we work hard, look after each other and take pride in our work. We are well equipped with all the usuals; digital Xray, IDEXX machines etc as well as brand new anaesthetic machines, tables and the most beautiful new cages joining us in the new clinic.

 

Kaikoura is an amazing place to live, its easy to fit into the friendly local community, and there’s all sorts of outdoor activities on offer as well as spectacular scenery.
