Specialized Companion Animal GP
Vet Marlborough seeks an experienced companion animal veterinarian to join our team. A special interest in surgery and orthopedics would be a bonus.
Vet Marlborough is a respected, progressive, NZVA BESTPRACTICE accredited practice. The architecturally designed, purpose-built clinic is very well equipped. We have an exceptional team of qualified, professional and caring staff. An emphasis is placed on continuing professional development and the development of special interest areas of veterinary practice, with the opportunity to become a “specialized GP” to maintain professional interest and growth, while working in a desirable location to live. High professional standards are set, with quality care practiced in a fun, friendly and supportive environment.
We offer several specialized services including TPLO and MMP cruciate surgeries, laparoscopic spays and gastropexy, canine reproduction and frozen semen, dermatology and allergy testing, dentistry, echocardiography and ultrasound.

The beautiful Marlborough region offers an enviable lifestyle with a fantastic climate, central location with easy access to Wellington, Nelson & Christchurch. The Marlborough Sounds and Nelson Lakes National Park offer an amazing variety of leisure activities and then there is the wine!
The clinic is open seven days. Weekends and after-hours work are shared with another multi-vet practice, with separate large animal and companion animal rosters. On average this means only three nights on call per month.
We are a member of The Vet Company, a cooperative group of nine independent veterinary practices. We leverage talent across the group by way of annual special interest group CVE events, and networks for referral and advice.
NZVA membership and VCNZ registration are paid by the practice. An active and ongoing wellbeing program is in place along with personalized staff development plans and a CPD budget.
